Dracaena Draco Palm Description: A firm umbrella-shaped crown of green sword-like leaves atop a stout wooded trunk. The sap of this tree is a dark red that European legends held for centuries was actually "the blood of dragons". This is where Dracaena Draco or, "Dragons Blood" (Latin) gets it's name.

Dracaena Draco Palm Landscaping Tips: This is an arid species of palm so it can be easily used with any western, desert, or oasis landscaping theme. It is also drought tolerant when it's roots are established (at least a year after planting) and fully tolerant to saltwater which makes it a great palm for planting on a sea bluff or near the ocean.
